Position: Assistant Team Leader – Warehousing
As the second-in-command, this role supports and leads the warehouse team in the supervisor’s absence, managing daily inbound and outbound tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Supervisors in warehouse tasks to ensure completion according to management standards.
- Support system operations and floor activities, coordinating with Supervisors to achieve daily objectives.
- Work closely with Supervisors to address business demands efficiently.
- Ensure team compliance with protocols for inbound and outbound processes, adhering to management’s standards.
- Aid Supervisors in task implementation, whether for group needs or specific business requirements.
- Promote and maintain workplace safety, providing feedback on safety-related issues.
- Help maintain bin accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Uphold the highest standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.
- Assist in preparing and submitting daily and monthly reports to management.
- Support in stock counting and value-added activities (e.g., labeling, online activities, warehouse improvement projects).
- Perform additional warehouse duties as needed by management.
Skills Required:
- Average written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and basic software literacy.
- Ability to meet performance standards.
- Knowledge and adherence to health and safety practices (including compactor operation).
- Familiarity with SAP system.
- Strong leadership and command abilities.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Flexibility with shift timings and a positive attitude.
- Good reporting skills.
- Basic machinery operation skills (e.g., pallet riders, VNA).
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
