Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Telecom Engineer with substantial experience in GSM Towers, FTTx, GPON, and 5G network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing fiber optic and small cell network projects, focusing on delivering high-quality outcomes through effective workflow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and upgrades of GSM tower infrastructure, including antenna layout and heat mapping.
- Oversee the installation of antennas, radios, and RF equipment on GSM towers, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, quality, and safety regulations.
- Manage Outside Plant (OSP) design and planning for GPON, FTTx, and 5G Small Cell networks.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to define project goals, technical specifications, and deliverables for GSM infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical support and updates throughout all phases of the project.
- Coordinate with construction and permitting teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and CAD drafters, ensuring quality control (QC) processes are met.
- Review and finalize construction drawings, permitting documents, and as-built plans.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in fiber optic network planning, design, and project management, particularly in GSM, GPON, and 5G small cell networks.
- Proficient in OSP engineering tools, including NDS, O-CALC, IKE, GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing QC teams to produce high-quality project deliverables.
- Familiarity with GCC telecom regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer & Communications Engineering, or a related field.
