Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible as VMT for T&I Pipelay and Shore Approach Activities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of pipelay and shore approach activities in the offshore construction environment.
- Ensure that all technical and operational aspects of the pipelay and shore approach processes meet the required standards and contractual obligations.
- Serve as the Primary Interface with the EPC Contractor’s Offshore Team:
- Act as the key point of communication between the company and the EPC Contractor’s offshore team.
- Address any issues or concerns related to pipelay, trenching, beach pull, and backfilling activities, ensuring smooth coordination and information flow.
- Supervise and Monitor the EPC Contractor:
- Oversee the EPC contractor’s daily operations to ensure pipelay and shore approach activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Monitor progress, identify any risks, and ensure adherence to safety standards, industry practices, and the terms of the contract.
- Provide Technical Support for Pipelay and Shore Approach Operations to Shared Resources & PMT:
- Offer technical assistance and guidance to Shared resources & PMT to help ensure smooth execution of pipelay and shore approach activities.
- Provide expertise on technical issues and challenges encountered during operations.
- Offshore-Based Position with Potential Travel to Other Worksites:
- This role is primarily offshore-based but requires flexibility to travel to other work sites as necessary, based on requests from Shared resources & PMT.
- Be prepared to engage in different locations to support the overall project.
- Assist with Subsea Construction Activities on DSV/CSV:
- When required, the personnel may be asked to support subsea construction activities, including operations involving Dive Support Vessels (DSV) or Construction Support Vessels (CSV).
- Participate in subsea operations and ensure that activities align with the project’s technical and safety requirements.
- Assigned as Shift Supervisor Onboard Construction Vessel/Barge:
- Serve as the shift supervisor on the construction vessel or barge, ensuring that operations are running smoothly and safely.
- Oversee the crew, manage operational activities, and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and operational guidelines during shifts.
Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore pipelay and lifting activities, with at least 5 years as a technical foreman or shift supervisor onboard an offshore construction barge/vessel.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of marine installation operations, including DP2 Lay Vessel/Barge, anchor handling, shore pull, etc.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry pipeline installation and repair techniques, including welding, NDT, FJC, etc.
- Knowledge of ROV operations for pipelay and subsea construction.
- Broad understanding of execution methods and risks associated with offshore greenfield and brownfield modifications, particularly in gas production facilities.
