Reports To: Manager of Investments
Job Summary:
The individual in this position will assist in managing the financial operations of the company’s investment portfolio. The role involves ensuring effective monitoring, compliance, and reporting of investment activities, risk exposure, and performance metrics. The person will collaborate with senior management, the investment team, and external auditors to maintain the integrity and efficiency of financial processes related to investments. Strong accounting skills are required, and analytical abilities will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight:
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports related to the company’s investment portfolio.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure proper funding for investment activities.
- Support the evaluation of investment performance and provide recommendations for potential improvements.
- Investment Monitoring & Control:
- Oversee daily investment operations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Help implement internal controls to manage risks and protect assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of investment accounts.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure that all investment-related financial reports meet regulatory and organizational standards.
- Work with auditors to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial records.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with top investment managers, bankers, accounting teams, and legal advisors to coordinate investment and other necessary activities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for executive meetings and stakeholders.
Skills:
- Open to Indian nationals
- Master’s degree in Accounting / ACCA / CA Inter / ICWA
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting
- Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
- Knowledge of financial regulations such as IFRS, GAAP, Solvency II
- Proven experience in financial control, investment analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of investment accounting principles, financial reporting, and risk management
- Attention to detail
