Senior HVAC Design Engineer

Our Middle East operation is currently experiencing significant growth due to the scale of several key projects. The Project Management team is expanding, and we are now looking for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to support the Property and Building Business Groups in delivering their projects. This position is based in our Abu Dhabi, UAE office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure HVAC systems are installed and maintained per industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues, ensuring optimal performance.
• Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on HVAC design.
• Expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (Revit, AutoCAD, IES & HAP).
• Experience in Life Sciences (pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities).
• Strong background in ventilation systems, plant sizing, and control systems.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, pipe flow, pump selection, and chilled water system design.
• Familiarity with local and international HVAC engineering codes and standards.
• Report writing skills.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of external factors influencing GHD.
