The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all Quality Assurance (QA) activities and ensuring compliance with the policies and procedures of Mohamed Naser Al-Hajery & Sons, as well as established QA best practices

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Policies & Procedures:

  • Monitor the implementation of Quality Assurance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the broader policies of Mohamed Naser Al-Hajery & Sons.
  • Administer fair and consistent corrective actions for all policy violations, collaborating with the relevant supervisory personnel.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Quality Assurance systems and procedures are effectively established and maintained, including compliance with:
    • International Pharmaceutical Standards
    • International Quality Standards (GSP, GDP, GMP, and WHO requirements)
    • MNH Supplier Quality Standards (as outlined in Technical Agreements)
    • Regulatory requirements
  • Approve incoming goods by verifying that they meet quality standards (e.g., physical temperature checks) established by the organization.
  • Monitor the safe storage of products, ensuring that damaged, expired, or non-saleable products are kept separate from saleable inventory.
  • Conduct thermal mapping of the warehouse, retaining the relevant documentation.
  • Ensure periodic calibration of temperature monitoring devices and validate calibration certificates.
  • Oversee the movement of products to and from the warehouse to maintain prescribed temperature norms and adherence to product handling procedures as per supplier/MNH SOPs.
  • Monitor the warehouse temperature (including chiller rooms) and distribution vehicles, ensuring they are within acceptable ranges. Download and maintain temperature reading reports for records.
  • Review actions taken in response to temperature deviations in the warehouse and during transit, advising management on necessary preventive measures.
  • For damaged, destroyed, or recalled products, ensure compliance with Quality SOPs and store these goods in designated areas.
  • Control access to various locations within the pharmaceutical warehouse (e.g., main entrance, damaged/expired stock area).
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the pharmaceutical warehouse (including receiving and quarantine areas).
  • Supervise pest control activities in the warehouse and maintain equipment safety.
  • Prepare and authorize Change Control documents for significant modifications to the warehouse that may impact product quality.
  • Conduct training on fire and safety SOPs for warehouse personnel, including fire drills.
  • Develop an annual training plan for warehouse staff, obtaining approval from the Warehouse Manager.
  • Train relevant personnel on the implementation of Quality SOPs according to the training plan.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation (forms, formats, agreements, etc.) to support effective quality management functions.
  • Conduct self-inspections as per the Self-Inspection Calendar, discussing results with warehouse management and monitoring the implementation of action plans.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and management of standard control documents, including quality work instructions.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Management to ensure the implementation of approved SOPs.
  • Maintain risk registers and follow up with management on the implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Ensure effective communication with the supplier quality control function and participate in supplier audits alongside Warehouse Management.

Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Pharmacy.
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) is an advantage.

Work Experience & Other Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of WHO best practices, including GMP, GSP, and GDP.
