Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Department Head, the selected candidate will be tasked with developing, delivering, and assessing a diverse array of courses in logistics and supply chain management. This individual will assess student performance and oversee the resources within the learning environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with industry stakeholders and other educational institutions, participate in industry advisory committees, and coordinate, manage, and oversee projects within the designated program area. Faculty members are expected to maintain course portfolio documents necessary for accreditation and to engage in instructional development and improvement initiatives. All employees are encouraged to contribute to professional and community activities both within the College and beyond.

Qualifications:

Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate rank based on their educational background and experience. The general criteria are outlined below.

Education:

  • A PhD and a master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field from a recognized international university, along with an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

For Assistant Professor

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environment, in addition to preferably 3 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain management sector.
  • A distinguished research background and international recognition demonstrated through high-quality publications in leading academic journals.
  • A strong record of supervising outstanding research students.
  • Proven leadership in fostering engagement and partnerships within the profession and industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • A diploma in Education (e.g., Post-secondary Education, Adult Education, or Vocational Education) is preferred.
  • Over 6 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training context.
  • Experience leading and innovating in technology-based projects.

For Associate Professor

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training setting, plus at least 3 years of professional experience in the logistics and supply chain management industry.
  • A distinguished research profile and international recognition, evidenced by high-quality publications in leading journals.
  • An excellent track record of supervising high-caliber research students.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building engagement and partnerships within the profession and industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • A diploma in Education (e.g., Post-secondary Education, Adult Education, or Vocational Education) is preferred.
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in the relevant discipline.
  • Teaching experience in post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environments.
  • Leadership and innovation experience in technology-based projects.

Other Required Skills:

  • A commitment to applied and experiential learning as an educational approach.
  • Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments, integrating contemporary tools and resources to enhance content learning in context, while developing the knowledge, skills, competencies, and attitudes outlined in program outcomes.
  • Proficiency in digital literacy and technology systems, with the ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital tools to support research and learning.
  • Demonstrated capacity to create technology-enhanced learning environments that empower students to actively participate in their learning process.
  • A commitment to the effectiveness, vitality, and ongoing renewal of the teaching profession through self-directed professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative and collegial attitude, with a proven ability to establish rapport with students, colleagues, sponsoring employers, and community members.
  • The ability to initiate applied research projects.
