Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head, the successful candidate will be tasked with developing, delivering, and evaluating a diverse array of courses in Digital Marketing. They will assess student progress and manage resources within the learning environment. The candidate will collaborate with industry partners and other educational institutions, participate in advisory committees, and coordinate, manage, and oversee projects within their designated program area. Faculty members are expected to maintain course portfolio documents necessary for accreditation and engage in instructional development and improvement initiatives. All employees are encouraged to contribute to professional and community life both within the College and in the wider community.

Qualifications

Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate rank based on their qualifications and experience, with broad criteria outlined below.

Education

A PhD and a master’s degree in digital marketing or a related field from a recognized university, along with an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

For Assistant Professor

1-Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in post-secondary education, adult training, or industry training, coupled with at least 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing or a related field.
  • A strong research record and an international reputation demonstrated by high-quality publications in leading journals.
  • An excellent track record of supervising high-achieving research students.
  • Proven leadership in fostering engagement and partnerships within the profession and industry.

2-Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Digital Marketing.
  • A diploma in Education (e.g., Post-secondary Education, Adult Education, or Vocational Education) is preferred.
  • Over 6 years of professional experience in the relevant discipline.
  • Teaching experience in post-secondary education, adult training, or industry training.
  • Experience in leadership and innovation in technology-driven projects.

For Associate Professor

1-Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in post-secondary education, adult training, or industry training, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing or a related field.
  • A distinguished research record and an international reputation shown through high-quality publications in top-tier journals.
  • An excellent track record of supervising high-caliber research students.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building engagement and partnerships within the profession and industry.

2-Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification.
  • A diploma in Education (e.g., Post-secondary Education, Adult Education, or Vocational Education) is preferred.
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in the relevant discipline.
  • Teaching experience in post-secondary education, adult training, or industry training.
  • Experience in leadership and innovation in technology-based projects.

3-Other Required Skills:

  • A commitment to applied and experiential learning as a pedagogical approach and a fundamental aspect of UDST’s mission.
  • Ability to design, develop, deliver, and assess authentic learning experiences and evaluations, incorporating contemporary tools and resources to enhance contextual content learning and to foster the knowledge, skills, competencies, and attitudes outlined in program outcomes.
  • Digital literacy and proficiency in technology systems, with the ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital tools to support research and learning.
  • Demonstrated capacity to create technology-enhanced learning environments that encourage active student participation in their learning.
  • A commitment to the effectiveness, vitality, and continuous renewal of the teaching profession through self-directed professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative and collegial spirit, with a proven ability to build rapport with learners, colleagues, employers, and community members.
  • Ability to initiate applied research projects.
