Alfardan Properties is currently seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for the IT infrastructure in line with the organization’s business objectives.
Evaluate current infrastructure capabilities, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and propose solutions to boost performance and efficiency.
Manage the daily operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance meet or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs).
Perform regular assessments and audits of infrastructure components, addressing any identified issues or vulnerabilities.
Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to business operations.
Plan and execute infrastructure projects, such as network upgrades, server migrations, and data center expansions.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project requirements, manage risks, and resolve technical challenges.
Maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts and SLAs to secure cost-effective, high-quality services.
Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the IT infrastructure.
Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure readiness for potential disruptions.
Enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s infrastructure and data.
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices regarding infrastructure security and data privacy.
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
Proficiency in switching VLANs and ACLs.
Experience with routers, firewalls, and various network devices (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper).
Familiarity with wireless networking standards and technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, WPA3).
Knowledge of cloud services and networking in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Technical understanding of IP phone systems (e.g., Cisco, Avaya).
Experience in data center management.
Experience in Active Directory management.
Familiarity with Hyper-V and VMware.
Experience in managing server hardware and operating systems.
Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)
Fortinet Network Security Specialist (NSE 6)
Any relevant certification
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
