About the Role
As the Store Interior Design Manager, you’ll need energy and inspiring leadership. You’ll share your expertise on home life and home furnishing with your store team. Your main challenge? Demonstrating functional, beautiful, sustainable, and affordable furnishing solutions tailored to your local market. You’ll encourage people to envision their homes in fresh, new ways.
A Typical Day with Us:
- Helping position the IKEA store as the top choice for home furnishing in your market.
- Using your expertise to create updated room settings and in-store displays that bring vitality to the IKEA store.
- Showcasing the diverse IKEA product range to represent a variety of styles that cater to different tastes and needs.
- Reflecting the IKEA identity and creating visual impact in commercial, sales, and co-worker areas.
- Leading, developing, and recruiting your team, fostering open, constructive, and honest feedback.
- Inspiring your team to enhance the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in presentation and home solutions such as room displays and support areas.
- Helping your team deepen their knowledge of home life, transforming this insight into functional and appealing home solutions.
- Keeping the team updated on home furnishing trends, retail insights, and innovative ideas.
- Contributing your expertise to collaborate with your team and other departments.
- Responding quickly to commercial opportunities and understanding the impact of departmental actions on financial results.
- Actively participating in the global Interior Design network and sharing IKEA’s global directions and tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Higher education in interior design and solid experience as an interior designer.
- Strong passion, curiosity, and understanding of home furnishing and daily life at home.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve goals, driving growth and long-term profitability.
- Continual search for improvement opportunities and encouragement for your team to do the same.
- Confidence to challenge yourself and your team to strengthen the IKEA brand and exceed customer expectations.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, able to explain ideas clearly and visually.
- Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time efficiently to meet goals and deadlines.
- Proficient communication in English.
- Experience with interior design software and production tools.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time role based in Kuwait. Some travel may be required.
