Responsibilities:
- Ensure engineering dossiers are delivered with a comprehensive HVAC engineering definition and a fit-for-purpose design that is procurable, fabricable, transportable, installable, and operable safely. The design must comply with International Standards, client standards, the Project Basis of Design, and the SOR.
- Manage assigned project tasks effectively, adhering to client safety regulations, quality standards, the project execution plan, and contractual requirements, including:
- Conducting thorough, efficient, and timely reviews of project HVAC discipline documents.
- Identifying potential deviations from standards and challenging the design to achieve optimized, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Participate in project studies and meetings related to the HVAC discipline, aligned with approved project gate levels and design maturity.
- Identify potential risks and scope changes, performing initial impact assessments and providing detailed information to the Engineering Coordinator.
- Facilitate effective communication with other engineering and functional team members.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Systems Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC engineering and design within the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards is advantageous (e.g., SOLAS, ABS, NORSOK, NFPA).
- Ability to work effectively on projects in a complex, multicultural environment.
