Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking Italian dishes under the Head Chef’s supervision.
  • Uphold high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items and seasonal dishes.
  • Support in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to meet restaurant standards.
  • Monitor kitchen supply stock levels and assist in inventory management.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the restaurant’s specifications and quality expectations.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and cleanup duties.
  • Manage food allergies and dietary restrictions with care and attention.

Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Vocational training in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Desired Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an Italian restaurant or high-volume kitchen.
  • Experience in leading small teams and fostering a collaborative kitchen environment.
  • Proven skill in preparing and replicating authentic Italian dishes.
