Key Responsibilities:

  • Role Coordination and Interface Management

 

      • Coordinate interfaces between different projects.
      • Facilitate risk assessment sessions required for all ongoing projects.
      • Serve as a backup for project-based roles as needed.
  • Support for Design Safety Case and Technical Integrity Verification (TIV)

 

      • Assist in the creation of the Design Safety Case and Technical Integrity Verification (TIV).
      • Ensure that these documents are reviewed and aligned with QG Operations through to the handover stage.
  • Loss Prevention Backup Support

 

      • Act as a backup for the Loss Prevention function for project-based roles.
      • Provide support when there is an increased workload in the Loss Prevention function.
  • Facilitating and Leading Risk Assessment Sessions

 

      • Lead and facilitate formal risk assessment sessions, including Joint Safety Reviews, HAZOP, and What-If analyses.
      • Prepare and document related reports.
      • Track actions resulting from the assessments and manage them in a database until completion.
  • Support for Safety Studies and Reviews

 

      • Represent the Technical Safety & Loss Prevention shared resources.
      • Provide support to ongoing projects in safety studies and reviews.
      • Involved in HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Model Reviews, SIL Reviews, QRA, and other related safety studies.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering

Experience:

  • 10-12 years of experience in industrial safety and loss prevention within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on Offshore Projects & Operations, Process Safety, Technical Safety Studies (such as QRA, SIL, HAZOP, PHA), Loss Prevention Engineering, Risk Assessment, Safe Systems of Work, and Emergency Procedures.
    • Significant experience leading hazard identification reviews using recognized techniques (e.g., HAZOP, What-If) with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
    • Practical knowledge of Safe Systems of Work is essential, with experience in Emergency Preparedness highly desirable.

    • Strong teamwork and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate and engage effectively at all levels of the project organization.
