Document Controller
ALEC Engineering and Contracting L.LC. ALEC has extensive experience in complex projects across diverse sectors including airports, retail, hotels & resorts, high-rise buildings, themed projects as well as construction management, design management, estimating, cost planning and procurement.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Document Controller to join our team on the Qiddiya Speed Park project.
Position Overview
To assist the Project team in document management functions including revision control, receiving, submitting, distributing and archiving the documents and records of the project.
Core Job Functions
- Data updates like submittal/Records status and keep all registers updated with Document status (Update Current Versions) update all registers.
- Distribute the submittals from sub-contractors for ALEC internal review as per the Document Distribution Matrix
- Submit the project submittals with transmittal cover to the consultant.
- Scan and upload the commented/approved submittals in the project document management system/Server.
- Prepare Files with Proper labelling (with traceability of records)
- Proper file Management & Housekeeping (ISO 9001 Management Protocol – Filing Reliability
- Ability to use and operate document management system used (Aconex/Unifier etc.)
- Save project documents/records in established Folder structure.
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information on and terms of agreement.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.
- Ensure to professionally indent all original documents related to the projects such as Construction and drawings, Schematics, Statutory.
- Maintain hard copy references and library of all documents and ensure easy retrieval.
Requirements
- Graduate or Proven Relevant Experience
- 5 years in a construction environment of which 2 years in the QA/QC department.
- Computer literate in MS Office, and with good experience in role related software
