Purpose of Role: The Digital Construction Coordinator will support information management using BIM for the project whilst overseeing stakeholders across the project team to play their part in the information management process to meet requirements and digital deliverables. The remit may cover supporting wider digital construction scope/techniques such as digital scanning, drones, data capture in the field, robotics etc., but the primary focus will remain on information management using BIM. The Digital Construction Coordinator will be one of the key points of contact for BIM between the project management team and external stakeholders, including the consultants, sub-contractors, and other project stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Digital Construction Manager or Project Manager/Director, and at a departmental level to the Head of Digital Construction. Key activities and tasks:
  • Responsible for the communication of information requirements both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Client’s exchange information requirements are responded to and delivered against.
  • Contribute to the creation and iterative development of information management resources such as the BIM execution plan, detailed responsibility matrix, (LAP) exchange information requirements and master information delivery plan.
  • Contribute to checking the delivery team’s electronic document management system (EDMS) is configured to fulfil the workflow and rules of the common data environment (CDE).
  • Contribute to the setup of BIM workflows for the project from contract-award stage until handover and approval of BIM deliverables.
  • Responsible for 3D spatial coordination in a coordination software/platform and report/assign issues (inc. clashes) to project stakeholders.

  • Manage daily deliverables, issue the required Time & Motion – Cost V Allowable to the relevant Site Supervisors/Foreman, and accrue information to report up the line.
  • Have a full understanding of base QA/QC with a zero tolerance for repeat works.
  • Make sure that all Method Statements & Risk Assessments are in line with company HSE procedures, suit the relevant Consultants requirements, and recorded on a usable platform - issue to the relevant Supervisors/QA/QC Engineers & Foreman.
  • Make sure that the programme is adhered to and all Material and Tooling requirements are monitored and delivered to secure the relevant completion dates.

Roles and Responsibilities:Application Implementation: Lead the deployment of new software applications, overseeing installation, configuration, and customization to meet specific business requirements. • System Configuration: Set up application parameters, workflows, and user permissions to maximize functionality and align with organizational processes. • User Training: Develop and deliver training resources and sessions to familiarize staff with application features, functionality, and best practices. • Technical Support: Provide end-user technical support, troubleshooting and resolving software issues promptly. Work with vendors and IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues when necessary. • System Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate applications with existing systems, databases, and third-party platforms, enhancing process efficiency and data flow. • Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure applications meet performance, usability, and security standards. Identify and address any defects through comprehensive testing. • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support application use and troubleshooting. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new software technologies. Suggest improvements to current systems for optimized efficiency and performance. • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with software vendors and service providers, coordinating activities such as software upgrades, patch installations, and service level agreements (SLAs). • Compliance: Ensure software applications comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies. Implement security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure data privacy. Skills Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience across any industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields (Computer Science/IT); postgraduate degree or diploma is a plus
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture, Network Infrastructure, Technology and Systems Administration, and Database Management
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, including cyber threats, encryption methods, and access control mechanisms
