Position Summary
The Population Health Research Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting various aspects of population health research projects, including study design, data collection, analysis, reporting, and project lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversees the entire lifecycle of research projects, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
- Team Management: Supports recruitment, training, and orientation of research teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaises with key stakeholders, including researchers, collaborators, and healthcare institutions, to gather requirements and address issues.
- Research Execution: Conducts and coordinates population health research, adhering to appropriate methodologies and research plans.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyzes research data and draws meaningful conclusions.
- Scientific Writing: Authors research reports, academic publications, social media content, and newsletters.
- Educational Support: Contributes to IPH and medical education programs.
- Mentorship: Provides guidance and support to team members and students.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) with a Master’s degree in Public Health or a PhD in a related health science field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant research experience in Qatar or a comparable country.
- Scientific Writing: Proven experience in writing for peer-reviewed journals, reports, and articles.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Research Methodology: Strong understanding of population health research design and methodology.
- Project Management: Effective project management skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic (preferred).
