Alfardan Properties is currently seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the IT infrastructure in line with the organization’s business objectives.
- Evaluate current infrastructure capabilities, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and propose solutions to boost performance and efficiency.
- Manage the daily operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance meet or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Perform regular assessments and audits of infrastructure components, addressing any identified issues or vulnerabilities.
- Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to business operations.
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects, such as network upgrades, server migrations, and data center expansions.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project requirements, manage risks, and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and SLAs to secure cost-effective, high-quality services.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure readiness for potential disruptions.
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s infrastructure and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices regarding infrastructure security and data privacy.
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
- Proficiency in switching VLANs and ACLs.
- Experience with routers, firewalls, and various network devices (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper).
- Familiarity with wireless networking standards and technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, WPA3).
- Knowledge of cloud services and networking in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Technical understanding of IP phone systems (e.g., Cisco, Avaya).
- Experience in data center management.
- Experience in Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with Hyper-V and VMware.
- Experience in managing server hardware and operating systems.
Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)
- Fortinet Network Security Specialist (NSE 6)
- Any relevant certification
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
