Do you have significant experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental, Social, and Impact Assessment (ESIA)? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to become a Senior Environmental Consultant as part of our Qatar Environment Team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the preparation and review of technical reports for EIA and ESIA studies, ensuring they meet local and international standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with diverse teams, including environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers, to conduct baseline surveys, analyze data, and propose effective mitigation strategies for environmental impacts.
- Applying environmental regulations in client meetings and stakeholder interactions to address concerns and ensure compliance.
- Acting as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ needs, and delivering technical solutions that align with their objectives. You will also be managing projects to ensure on-time delivery as the Project Manager.
- Presenting technical information clearly to various audiences, both internally and externally.
- Leading and managing project teams and stakeholders to achieve positive project results.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in international environmental consultancy, preferably with experience in the Middle East and/or oil and gas projects.
- Proven expertise in planning, budgeting, and managing environmental projects.
- Strong knowledge of local and international environmental regulations, keeping up-to-date with emerging standards and best practices.
- Exceptional technical writing skills, particularly in preparing EIA/ESIA reports, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Experience presenting technical information to a wide range of audiences, including clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
