Security Supervisor
Role Summary
Responsibilities include day to day supervision of the Lock & Key team. Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to Performance Development, Timecard Approval, Metric Reporting, DCSA Liaison, AA&E Lock & Key Custodian, Staff meetings.
What You Will Do:
- Changing combinations, rekeying, and repairing a wide variety of safes, cipher, and commercial door lock hardware.
- Develop and maintain keying systems for all RTX-Raytheon buildings and accurately maintaining critical lock & key records.
- Develop and deliver lock operation training to diverse groups of various sizes.
- Collaborate with other Security departments and Facilities management to ensure compliance with NISPOM and other government requirements.
- Develop solutions for issues of moderate complexity and scope
- Prepares requisitions for purchases of locks and lock & key materials.
- Prioritize, schedule and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives both within an individual and team environment
- Additional duties may be assigned, at manager’s discretion.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- 5+ years of commercial locksmith experience and 3+ years of management/leadership experience
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinking and creative thinking skills
- Manage a very busy and dynamic small team
- Willing to be on-call after hours for emergency response
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and other web-based computer programs
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders or elevated lifts
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Willing to travel on company business
- Must achieve GSA Container Certification
- Must achieve Lock-Master’s LKM7000 and LKM10K Factory Certification
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of related experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- GSA Container Certification
- GSA Container & Vault Inspector Certification
- Kaba Mas X-Series Factory Certification
- Lock Master’s LKM7000 and LKM10K Factory Certification
- Working knowledge of NISPOM
- Able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with special accesses
