Responsibilities:

 

 

Setting up the Primavera Project Management System (P6v2) for program management within the planning team and all stakeholders.

Developing the master program for the project.

Preparing daily escalation reports for project managers.

Assisting in the consultant selection process for both commercial and technical evaluations.

Helping establish and deliver formal reporting arrangements on project progress for clients and stakeholders.

Reviewing contract documents and proposing changes related to planning and programming, including the addition of new clauses as necessary.

Organizing planning workshops and meetings to assist contractors and consultants in resolving planning and project control issues.

Challenging any claims and requests for extensions of time (EOT).

Making recommendations for potential acceleration of project timelines.

Developing a document control system and communication flow for the project.

Reviewing construction programs submitted by contractors and analyzing them against contractual requirements.

Ensuring the creation and maintenance of procurement, material, and submittal logs.

Identifying long lead items.

Preparing weekly progress presentations for clients.

Managing the effective transfer of documents and information at the site level.

Establishing a document coding structure for all project documents.

Implementing a permit approval system.

Providing project advice regarding any site progress or planning concerns that may affect progress.

Developing protocols and templates for weekly and monthly progress reporting and monitoring.

Preparing design programs for ongoing projects and guideline programs for projects in the planning or initiation stages.

Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans.

Monitoring design, procurement, and construction progress to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Skills:

 

A minimum of 15 years of experience in planning construction projects, with at least 10 years in planning and programming high-quality projects using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6.

Preferably a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE), although this is not essential if there is a demonstrated track record of successfully planning high-quality phased projects that were open to the public during construction, including the ability to analyze and construct schedules and costs using Primavera Enterprise and Primavera Contract Management software.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

UPDA certification is an advantage.

PSP certification and an MBA are also advantageous.
