The role of an Assistant Professor includes teaching courses in Commercial Law, as well as providing academic advising, professional development, and contributing to institutional and community service.
In particular, applicants are expected to:
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in teaching courses within the field of law, specifically in Commercial Law;
Develop course curricula relevant to the field;
Review, evaluate, and recommend books, references, and learning materials for students;
Develop and utilize a variety of educational materials to help students achieve course objectives;
Make continuous efforts to enhance teaching quality through innovative methodologies, techniques, and educational approaches;
Effectively incorporate technology for both instructional and administrative purposes;
Assess students to gauge their progress toward meeting stated course objectives;
Maintain accurate student records and submit relevant reports and forms within required timelines;
Teach courses at various times and locations as per department and college needs;
Set and maintain office hours for student consultations;
Participate and contribute to professional development activities and other committees within the Business Administration Department and at the college level.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master’s or PhD in Law from an internationally recognized university, with a preference for AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS-accredited institutions.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the college/university level is required. Experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is preferred but not mandatory.
