The Lead of Tech Safety & LPAM is responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety protocols and procedures for all technological systems and processes within the organization. They work closely with IT, security, and operational teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Key Job Accountabilities
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Head of Technical Safety & LPAM, including acting as the interim head as needed.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in accident and incident investigations, providing technical safety expertise.
- Risk Assessment: Facilitate and lead formal risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP, What-If), prepare reports, track actions, and manage the closure process.
- Project Support: Support ongoing projects by providing safety study and review support, including HAZOP, HAZID, 3D model review, SIL review, and QRA.
- Handover Support: Assist in the handover planning of new installations to the client’s operations team from a loss prevention engineering perspective.
- Resource Backup: Provide backup support for ongoing projects in case of resource unavailability.
- Audit and Review: Participate in pre-audits, audits, and reviews as per client requirements and shareholder audit programs.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with the Head of Technical Safety & LP, Engineering Manager, and other engineering team heads to align on loss prevention engineering needs and objectives.
- Design Safety Case and TIV: Support the development and implementation of the Design Safety Case and Technical Integrity Verification (TIV) plan.
- Design Performance Standards: Contribute to the evolution of design performance standards into operational performance standards.
- Pre-Audit and Design Review: Support pre-audit and design review sessions to ensure project readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in Welding, NDT, Inspection, or Auditing.
Knowledge and Key Skills
- Industry Experience: 10-12 years of experience in industrial safety and loss prevention in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore projects, process safety, and technical safety studies.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques, safe systems of work, and emergency preparedness.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent teamwork, facilitation, and communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical safety issues.
