An IP-CCTV System Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IP-based Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. These technicians handle the setup of cameras, networking, and configuration of surveillance systems to ensure they function correctly. They may also be involved in upgrading and servicing security systems, ensuring the proper functioning of network connectivity, and addressing any technical issues that arise within the CCTV infrastructure. This role typically requires knowledge of networking, security systems, and technical troubleshooting.
IP-CCTV System Technician
Responsibilities:
Assist QU-Facility Management staff and contractors in maintaining IP CCTV systems, including AXIS, Honeywell, Pelco cameras, TCP/IP networks, and Aimetis/Honeywell VMS software interfaces.
Inspect and repair various types of IP cameras and network devices on-site.
Diagnose faults in all IP-CCTV support systems and resolve issues within the scope of expertise.
Follow detailed schematics and operational maintenance manuals to perform scheduled maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs.
Requirements:
Technical Training Course Certificate (Full-time, 1 to 1.5 years) in Electrical/Electronics/Communication/IT/Audio Visual/Instrumentation from recognized government institutes, accredited colleges, or national technical course certification authorities such as ITI, TESDA, NVQ, etc.
Must have the technical knowledge to troubleshoot complex IP network systems.
At least 1 year of full-time technical certification from a recognized technical college or equivalent qualification.
Excellent communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IP CCTV technology within the GCC region.
