Job Summary: Manage container loadings from China and the Far East for Alghanim Industries and its associated business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily container loadings worldwide.
- Manage freight flow processes.
- Ensure containers are loaded following established control measures and in coordination with the purchasing team.
- Regularly update the ERP system with shipment bookings to support efficient management.
- Address inquiries and complaints from business units regarding container loadings.
- Maintain relationships with shipping lines and freight forwarders, ensuring suppliers ship goods on schedule and according to instructions from the China team.
- Verify documentation according to destination clearance requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in documentation management, ideally within purchasing, freight handling, or key account management in a freight forwarding company. Background in electronics or furniture is preferred.
- Knowledge of local and regional shipping line regulations.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (written, reading, and spoken) is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including typing, MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to plan and prioritize based on business unit needs.
- Problem-solving skills.
