We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Cost Control & ERP Specialist is responsible for managing cost control activities, administering ERP systems, and supporting Commercial and Procurement processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate project cost tracking and reporting, maintaining efficient ERP workflows, and facilitating continuous improvement in cost management practices across projects.

Core Job Functions

Cost Control Management:

  • Oversee and manage cost control activities, ensuring accurate tracking, forecasting, and reporting of project costs.
  • Implement and maintain effective cost control procedures and standards aligned with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor budget performance and provide actionable insights.

ERP System Administration:

  • Administer and configure ERP modules related to cost control, Commercial, and Procurement activities.
  • Ensure the ERP system is effectively utilized to support project cost management and reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.

Commercial & Procurement Processes:

  • Support the Commercial and Procurement teams by integrating cost control measures within ERP workflows.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities align with project budgets and financial goals.

Training & User Support:

  • Provide training and support to project teams and end-users on ERP system functionalities related to cost management.
  • Develop user-friendly guides and training materials to enhance system adoption and efficiency.

Dashboard Creation & Data Analysis:

  • Design and build dashboards that provide real-time visibility into project costs, performance metrics, and budget variances.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry best practices in cost control and ERP systems, applying new knowledge to optimize processes.
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve cost control procedures and system integration within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in Project Controls, with hands-on experience managing project budgets and financials.
  • Proficiency in cost control software and ERP systems (e.g., Buildsmart, Oracle, CCS Candy).
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and associated financial processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
