Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems

The role of an Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems involves teaching courses in this field, along with academic advising, professional development, and service to the institution and community.

Specifically, the candidate is expected to:

• Demonstrate expertise in teaching courses related to management sciences, with a strong focus on Management Information Systems.
• Develop curricula for relevant courses.
• Review, evaluate, and recommend books, references, and educational materials for students.
• Develop and utilize diverse educational materials that support students in achieving course objectives.
• Continuously improve teaching quality through the use of innovative methodologies, techniques, and instructional approaches.
• Effectively use technology for educational and administrative purposes.
• Assess students’ progress toward achieving the stated course objectives.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit relevant reports and forms within required timelines.
• Teach courses at various times and locations according to departmental and college needs.
• Establish and maintain designated office hours.
• Participate in and contribute to professional development activities and other specialized committees within the Business Administration Department and the college.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Management Information Systems from an internationally recognized university. Preference is given to institutions accredited by AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS.

Experience:

Three years of teaching experience at the college/university level. Experience working in GCC countries is preferred but not required.

Required Skills:

The candidate should be capable of teaching in both Arabic and English and is expected to maintain professional, ethical, and responsible interactions with students, faculty members, and staff.
