Blockchain Developer Intern

The Blockchain Developer Intern will support McCoin’s technology and product teams in researching, testing, and developing blockchain-related components, tools, integrations, and internal prototypes.

This role is suitable for a motivated junior developer or recent graduate who has a strong interest in blockchain technology, smart contracts, Web3 infrastructure, wallet systems, and secure digital asset operations.

The intern will not be responsible for critical production deployments independently, but will assist senior team members in development, testing, documentation, and research tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in researching blockchain protocols, wallet structures, transaction flows, and Web3 infrastructure.
Support the development and testing of smart contract prototypes, scripts, or blockchain utilities.
Assist with blockchain API integrations, wallet connection flows, and transaction monitoring tools.
Help test smart contracts, blockchain interactions, and Web3 features in testnet environments.
Support internal documentation for blockchain processes, technical flows, and integration notes.
Assist in reviewing blockchain transaction logic, network behavior, gas fees, confirmations, and basic security considerations.
Work with the Product and Technology teams to understand how blockchain features connect with user experience and operational controls.
Support QA and UAT activities for blockchain-related platform features.
Follow McCoin’s internal development, security, compliance, and documentation procedures.
Escalate any technical, security, or operational issue to the Technology Lead.

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Blockchain, or a related field.
Basic understanding of blockchain concepts, including wallets, private keys, public addresses, transactions, confirmations, tokens, and smart contracts.
Basic knowledge of at least one blockchain ecosystem such as Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Solana, or similar.
Basic programming knowledge in one or more of the following:
Solidity, JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Rust, optional
Familiarity with Git and basic software development workflows.
Ability to read technical documentation and learn new tools quickly.
Good written English and ability to document work clearly.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in a structured, regulated environment.

Skills & Tools

Experience with testnets, smart contract deployment, or Web3 libraries such as ethers.js, web3.js, Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle.
Basic understanding of wallet integrations such as MetaMask or WalletConnect.
Familiarity with blockchain explorers such as Etherscan, BscScan, or similar.
Basic understanding of DeFi, token standards, or on-chain analytics.
Awareness of smart contract security risks such as reentrancy, access control issues, and incorrect permissions.
Interest in crypto compliance, transaction monitoring, and secure virtual asset operations.

Compensations and Benefits:

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to 5PM
Duration: 3-6 months (with potential full-time conversion based on performance)
Stipend: To be discussed
