Job Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company, including overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing reports, and providing strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who can handle all accounting duties independently and is capable of optimizing financial processes to support business growth.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to provide timely and accurate information.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
Ensure all accounts receivable and payable are processed accurately and on time.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage budgets, including monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Tax Management:
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
Handle VAT filings and other regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
Payroll Management:
Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Manage employee benefits and deductions as per company policy.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity.
Oversee bank reconciliations and manage banking relationships.
Inventory and Asset Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory and fixed assets.
Conduct periodic inventory audits and assist with inventory management strategies.
Financial Strategy and Advice:
Provide financial insights and strategic advice to the management team.
Support financial planning initiatives, including cost management and financial risk analysis.
Audit and Financial Reviews:
Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audits.
Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely completion of audits.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the building materials or wholesale industry.
Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CA certification preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
