AV (Audio-Visual) Engineer

Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Manage the AV Packages with the appointed subcontractors that are awarded and/or to be awarded to the project
• Assess the technicality and complexity of the works
• Coordinate with the main contractor and all other stakeholders to obtain the necessary approvals
• Coordinate with the creative team
• Ensure all the engineering is completed, reviewed and issued for approval
• Ensure works are on track with the necessary procurement being made on time
• Ensure closure and handing over of the AV package
• Assists in the certification review submitted by the subcontractors

Requirements/Qualifications

• Comprehensive working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installations (including AMX, QSC, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, video conferencing, video streaming, digital signage, etc.).
• Industry or manufacturer certifications, such as Infocomm CTS-D; advantageous.
• Installation or Project Management experience; advantageous.
• Any AV Design qualifications would be another benefit.
• Wide-ranging technical knowledge – Video, Networking, Audio, Power, Ventilation.
• Outstanding skills and experience with the following: AutoCAD, VectorWorks, MS Office, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Top-quality time management skills.
• Self-starter/ability to work on own initiative.
• Team player.
